YouthBank is a unique way of involving young people in community activity. It does this as an all-island of Ireland inititative through a network of grant-making committees run by young people.

Offaly YouthBank held their celebration event June 2010 in the County Arms Hotel. The group of young grantmakers hosted by Offaly Local Development Company administered 6 YouthBank grants along with 4 MoneySense grants specifically for financial education. Among the worthy recipients were: Banagher Scouts, Croghan Youth Club, Banagher Foroige, The Community Enhancement Group, West & South Offaly Comhairle na nOg, Kilcormac Youth Club, Ballycumber Youth, Banagher College, The SUB project, St Marys Youth Club
