What is Enniskillen YouthBank?

YouthBank is run by the Co-ordinator Patricia Maye.  This exciting new opportunity is hosted by Fermanagh Trust which is based in Fermanagh House.

What is YouthBank?

It is an exciting youth-led grant-making initiative operating across the Island of Ireland.

Enniskillen YouthBank is comprised of a group of young people, aged 16 - 25, from the Fermanagh area (See Photograph section).  This committee of young people will be responsible for distributing grants to youth-led projects that aim to make a positive contribution to the community.

Anyone between the ages of 11-25 years old with a good idea for something that will improve the lives of other young people in the community can apply to Enniskillen YouthBank for a grant ranging from £50 - £1000!

These projects can range from music, outings, purchase of equipment, drama to name but a few.  The Committee meet once a week at Fermanagh House.

Update:

Enniskillen YouthBank have funded 12 local youth led projects throughout the Fermanagh area but YouthBank is more than just a way of giving out grants.  It is about supporting and training young people, which in turn will benefit other young people and the wider community.

YouthBank members are offered a wide range of personal development and training.  This will enable them to undertake their roles and grow as people while having ongoing access to assistance from designated support adults.

The work of YouthBank is underpinned by a number of key principles called the SiteData/Enniskillen/File/YB Golden Rules(1).doc (adapted by YBUK Golden Rules)
