Angles and Positions December 2011

A series of YouthBank Ireland Coordinator meetings were held in November and December 2011.

One aspect seemed to catch everyone's attention - use of the social process triangles as a practical tool to apply, deepen and strengthen practice around, "getting to know your community".

There is some research showing that less than 10% of what's learned during training ever gets successfully transferred to the workplace. It's now down to taking this initial enthusiasm and dare to use it, and you might err, or come up short, but far better to dare and see what young people come up with.

The picture provides an illustration of what the social process triangles look like with newspaper cuttings and post-it notes populating each of the economic, political and cultural triangles.
